Description:
On Friday, September 25, 2026, at approximately 1320 hours, a CAL FIRE Type 3 fire engine rolled over while conducting a checkout drive as part of Company Officer Training. The engine was traveling on Michigan Bar Road when the right front wheel left the roadway. In an attempt to correct, the driver tried to reenter the roadway but overcorrected, causing the engine to leave the roadway again, roll, and ultimately coming to rest on its passenger side. A Fire Captain and two Fire Apparatus Engineers were transported with minor injuries.
