Description:
A UTV became immobilized in soft, disturbed ground adjacent to an active pile burn during prescribed fire operations. As the threat to the vehicle increased, operators prioritized firefighter safety and withdrew. Engine crews cooled the area, allowing personnel to safely recover the UTV.
